For sale is a Panasonic 12-32mm f/3.5 – 5.6 zoom lens for m 4/3 cameras from Olympus and Panasonic, but this particular lens has a metal mount rather than the normal plastic mount found on most of these standard lenses, giving it much better durability and quality with a good tight fit to the camera body. Unfortunately I don’t have the original box, but it will be well packaged in a solid cardboard box and wrapped in bubblewrap.
This is an exceptionally small and compact lens, but with amazingly good optical performance, giving very sharp results which is aided by this lens having Mega OIS stabilisation. It’s also useful for fairly close focus, being able to focus as close as around 20cm (8″). When not in use the lens closes down to about 25mm (1″) and you have to turn the zoom ring to the 12mm mark for it to expand out to its working length of around 50mm (2″), but it doesn’t get any bigger when you zoom out to 32mm.
The zoom range goes from a fairly decent wide angle to a useful short telephoto. I’ve looked closely at the lens and I can’t see any obvious marks, dings or scratches on the body or glass of the lens and the results I’ve had with the lens have been much better than I would have expected for such a small and inexpensive lens. There are a few marks on the lens cap, but nothing bad, other than that it all looks good to me.
The only reason I’m selling this lens is that I’ve also got the 12-60 and 14-140 Panasonic zooms and am looking to buy the 12-40 f/2.8 Olympus zoom, but as that is so much more expensive I have to start getting rid of some of my kit.
