Antique Sewill Binoculars / Field Glasses
Field or maritime binoculars, with Sewill, Maker to the Admiralty,Liverpool, Glasgow & London printed on the inner rim of the eyeglasses.
In a working but aged condition. Fairly heavy and made with brass / metal / leather hide.  The brass is dull (unpolished) and has tarnishingand residue, other metal parts have scratches and surface wear as shown.  Some of the stitched leatherhide is lifting / parting and is also a little dulled and discoloured (whitish).
There are end shades which slide down and up by hand (these have surface wear to the hide asshown) and the adjustment / focus wheel is slightly stiff to turn.  Good optical vision considering age.  Probably from Victorian / late 19th century +
